Of COURSE Santa lives in Santa Fe! It made perfect sense to the girls. I have always loved Santa Fe around the holidays- it is so beautiful and picturesque- adobe with soft fallen snow, lumenarios gently setting the night aglow, and the smell of pinon burning in fireplaces, smoke gently tickling your nose. I love it! I wanted to share that with the girls this year, so planned a weekend, and off we went. They did great in the car on the way down, and had the gentle reminder that if they made good choices, we would go see Santa! It was quite the process, but the girls patiently waited their turn. Molly timidly twirled her hair as she answered Santa's questions, and Maya shyly hid behind my knee. They both were fascinated by the lumenarios, and loved the candy canes (of course!) Im so glad that we took the time to go!
