Christmas Season
This post comes with no photos, but with a sincere thank you to my amazing girls for the most amazing holiday season I have ever had the opportunity to experience. Molly had a really neat grasp of the holidays this year, and therefore, her excitement trickled down to us all. She learned the words to countless Christmas songs, and excitedly asked to listen to our Cds every morning. I never tired of listening to them, as I watched her learn more of the words, and help Maya learn them too. Lisa commented that they sounded a bit like two drunkards trying to keep up with one another as they sang Rudolf. There was so much magic in their eyes, as they watched carolers, never tired of finding Christmas lights, and helped me frost and deliver hundreds of cookies. They drew pictures, and read stories, and just seemed to enjoy every little moment of the season, never wanting more than what they had right before them. I don't expect all Christmas' over the years to be as peaceful and enjoyable. Some day, they will be more about presents, and who gets what. But this year, it was perfect. The girls were old enough to understand the traditions swirling around them, but young enough to get swept up in their magic. I love my girls, and am so proud and amazed as I watch them grow. Thank you both for the gift of watching you enjoy the magic of the holidays.
