Look at that mouthful of teeth!

Such a sweet little girl. Maya continues to be so even tempered and sweet. She loves cuddling, and giving snugs. She has been serious about popping teeth. As you can see, at just over one year old, she has 6. As I type this, she is 16 months old, and has 12, and might possibly working on those eye teeth! I love hugging her....she is amazing.

Que Paso?????

Maya is VERY independent. She always wants to do things by herself...including feeding herself. While her skills with a spoon are not top notch, she wants so bad to do it, that I figure it is the only way she will learn. I have a feeling, looking back on these photos, that this was slightly instigated by her family...(sister and father!) She still is not a neat eater, but this day seems to be the messiest I have seen!

Valentine's Day in Steamboat

Two years in a row, we have spent V-Day in Steamboat with Jeanie and Jimmie. Their house provides the same amazing light that we find in Santa fe...magical. I dont think that these girls could love their penguinos that they got at the Shedd Aquarium any more....they take them everywhere. Big girl maya is now slowly toddling everywhere, leaving crawling WAY behind. She even tackled the stairs here with gusto!

Hiking the glacier with papa

Papa does a pretty darn good job with these girls on Sundays when Im off at work. Please notice that this man has Molly in the back pack and Maya on the front pack. Not messing around! He took advantage of the sunny, spring-like afternoon weather, and took the girls for a hike up the glacier. Seems like a great day, and of course...beautiful photos!!!!

Swimming

Taking a break from skiing is acceptable when it means going to the rec-center for a family swim. Maya is getting braver with the water, and molly, like all things, just LOVES to learn and try new things. Papa has worked with her to put her ears in the water, and blow bubbles. This trip even gave her the chance to dunk her head. She wasnt the biggest fan, but she did it! Such a brave girl!

How old are they?

There are times that I look at these girls, and I am vividly aware of how fast time goes. The eyes on Molly are those of a 13 year old, asking to go out with her friends. Not those of a wee one, who isnt yet three. The photo with her toes in the back ground is absolutely one of my favorites!
