Molly's first day of School

Molly was ready and excited, mama was a wreck. I sobbed most of the morning, missing my "baby girl." She however, was excited, and curious, ready to see what this thing called preschool was all about. She loves it, and has loved every day she has gone since day one.

Ruby Horsethief River trip

These are the most challenging posts to make. One beautiful day on the river blends with those before and after it. The girls did great on the water this year. Molly bravely tried every form of water transportation we had- ducky, kayak, inter-tube, and inflatable horse! It was great to have Jamie and Haley around to have extra hands to play with the girls. Camping was challenging this time, for some unknown reason, making nights longer than they needed to be! But days on the water were great! Rio did wonderful, and can swim like a champ, although he doesnt seem to care for it! No thanks mom! Keep me on land! I love how well our girls do on these sort of adventures, and again, am so proud of who they are growing up to become- brave, adventuresome, caring little people. It was a great trip- we saw eagles, scorpions (double yuck!) and loads of shooting stars. Every one swam, and played, and relaxed before the reality of school starting could seep to far into our bones! Thanks everyone for a great trip!

Potty training- take one

Maya has shown us in several ways that she is ready for potty training. Unfortunately, she has no real desire to do it. But this is a pretty cute shot of our girls, giving it a go!

Our 4-legged creatures

Welcome puppy Rio! I went to the farmers Market for peppers, and oops, came back with this adorable little cattle dog/lab mix. Like we needed another wee one in the house! He is adorable, and smart, and seems to fit in really well- now, if we can get him to sleep for longer hours at night, we will be set! The girls of course adore him already, and the rest of the household tolerates him. He is a love!

Forever Friends

One of the highlights of my summer was having my dearest friend Jessie come and visit with her kiddos...Will is amazing with Molly, and she often talks about how much she loves him. Which is okay with Papa...so all is well! Hindi and Molly tend to go face to face with screams, which cracks Jessie and I up. The last time we were together, the little girls were babies in Ergos....Look at them now! Thanks for a great visit Jess...bring those babies back again soon! We love you all SO MUCH!

Silly ol' girl!

Sweet smiles, silly hat, what more can you want from a summer afternoon?
