Papa caught our sweet yellow lab, Poudre, being incredibly sweet with the girls. He has always been good with molly, seems like there is enough room in his gentle heart for the new one also.
Maya hasn't quite put the weight on that the Dr. would like to see, so we have tried very hard over the last few weeks to follow his advice, and start her on solids. Well, my child knows what she likes...and that is Avos....NO rice cereal, yuck to sweet potatoes, and absolutely not bananas....not even apple sauce. Today I thought that maybe it was that she just didnt have the hang of eating quite yet- until I pulled out the avos again, and WHAM! The little one devoured the whole bowl...These photos are from a feeding with papa. Does that surprise anyone?
We just got back from a wonderful week in Northern Wisconsin, where we were surrounded by family. It was just amazing. Of course the main past-time everyday was fishing. While we didn't break any records for fish caught, Molly sure seemed to LOVE learning how to fish. "Can I touch your woooorrrm?" was heard whenever we pulled our lines out of the water. She also adored playing with the fish in the live well. She showed her fierce independence with wanting her OWN fishing pole set up, lure and all. Made both her mama and papa proud.
We had such a great time hanging out with our family. It was great to have Grandpa get to know our little spark plug Molly, and our sweet pea, little Maya. Molly jumped from person to person-sitting on the docks, or driving the boat with Uncle Todd, cuddling with Aunt Tisty, telling Granpa stories, or holding Uncle Tim's hand while wading in the lake. Meanwhile, Maya was busy capturing hearts, while giving out her sweet smile. I miss family, and loved having time with everyone.
The first river trip of the season, and also the first ever for Sebastian and Maya. They both slept through half of it, and seemed to enjoy the other half! Molly didnt love the one HUGE splash she got, but you cant hardly blame the girl, the river is still pretty chilly! It was a great little half day trip, the perfect one to start the season off doing! Who is going to join us next time????
i have searched high and low for a new, easier and more efficient way to share with friends and family the incredible little being who is becoming, more so with each passing hour, molly winona hochmuth.
It seems that "blogging" is the best way to accomplish this sharing- no more emails with ten zillion image files- instead i'll just let you know that there has been a new post made here.
seems fitting, then, to start this digital journal today- as we mark the beginning of her 4th month on the planet- with a group of my favorite images from the past three months...
