Molly and Maya are just starting to figure out that the can play together and interact. Not often, not for very long, but it has finally started. Maya smiles when she sees Molly, and Molly is starting to figure out a bit better how she actually can touch and play with maya without making her cry. It is fun to watch when they figure it out. The two of them laying on Hannah Bo's blanket are just too sweet for words, and have made some of my newest favorite photos!
Little Maya Bella develops more personality and character every day. She is such a happy little girl, and continues to amaze us with her relaxed attitude towards life! She has started to just light up when she sees her big sissy, which makes us all smile, you just cant help it! She has figured out how to roll over every time I put her on her belly, there is just way too much to see, strolling by her to stay in one position for too long! She is SUCH A JOY!!!!!!
She actually has a fish on the line, but the photo doesnt quite show that! This is the end of may, and supposedly well on its way to summer...notice the cloudy sky and warm winter hat! It was great to have both Geoff and Aunt Jackie visiting for a week. loads of adventures and fun times. Molly is one lucky and very loved little girl! Once again, I feel blessed for the friends that we are surrounded with. Thanks for the good times guys!
What beautiful blue desert sky! After breakfast, we found a great tree lined trail, that follows a little creek, and took a quick morning hike. It was Maya's first little family hike, and she wasnt sure about the heat, and being so sweaty.... The dogs loved taking dips in the stream, and Molly LOVED exploring the desert with papa. She learned about Cactus, and how they can do "ouches!" She loved ducking her head to avoid tree limbs while on papa's shoulders. But her favorite was the little lizards. One even let her touch him. She was just enamored! And of course, she found some time to stop and sniff the desert flowers. What a darling little girl!
Our first camping experience with both girls was a wonderful success. Molly had a blast! She LOVED sleeping in the tent, in her big girl sleeping bag. She enjoyed books about the desert before she went to sleep, where the quiet sound of "love you mama, love you papa" drifted from the tent, as we were sitting by the fire. It was wonderful....and hopefully the first of many trips
We got to our camp with some perfect afternoon light...of course inspiring papa to click away! I love these moments captured. We stayed at our favorite little BLM site, which overlooks the canyon, eventually turning into canyon lands. molly found a puddle that she played and jumped in, until all the water was gone, and of course had to take care of business in her little potty! It was a great afternoon.
i have searched high and low for a new, easier and more efficient way to share with friends and family the incredible little being who is becoming, more so with each passing hour, molly winona hochmuth.
It seems that "blogging" is the best way to accomplish this sharing- no more emails with ten zillion image files- instead i'll just let you know that there has been a new post made here.
seems fitting, then, to start this digital journal today- as we mark the beginning of her 4th month on the planet- with a group of my favorite images from the past three months...
