Doctor's Advice

Because Maya looked a TINY bit jaundice, the doctor recommended naps in the afternoon sunshine. Ummm, okay! It was one of the best naps of my life

Such little hands and toes....

Papa enjoying the afternoon sunlight, and loving a new photo subject. Five days old...and already has hundreds of photos logged...

I love my baby sister

I'm not sure which little angle is sweeter....but am overfilled with love for both of them.

And now we are four....

Molly was very interested and excited to meet her "babysistermaya" as she says, as if it is all one word. She has been great-gentle, affectionate and curious. Who could ask for more? And really...who could ask for more than two beautiful, healthy little girls? I am the worlds luckiest most blessed woman....

Welcome baby sister Maya!

Maya Isabella came into our world 4 weeks early, the day after Christmas. We had a doctor appointment several days before where we confirmed that baby was still breech, and that we should start considering scheduling a c-section three weeks from then. The day after Christmas, I started having major contractions, on and off all day, coming closer together as the afternoon wore on, making us wonder what the heck is going on! No way does this baby really want to join us a month early!!??!! But yes, apparently she did! We waited until contractions were 4-7 mins. apart, packed our bags, left molly in Tita's loving hands, and headed down the hill. 5 cm dilated, 90% effaced, labor was full blown. The docs did a great job of calming our nerves, and the strange process of a c-section began. Papa watched the whole process, so he can tell you more! All went well, maya was 5lbs 13oz, and 18 inches long. She is amazingly healthy and strong for coming "early" and we feel all the more blessed.
