Who doesn't like Carrot cake? Who doesn't like baking naked? It is a recipe for giggles, laughter and happiness! As always, molly is quite the helper in the kitchen. This occasion was Abuelita's B-day- Which one is it mama, your 45th? ; )
An easy way to add new photos and stories of Molly's growth- physically as well as personality, etc...enjoy!
Lesson? Who am I fooling? My daughter has no fear. Not one little healthy ounce of it! We were down in BV for paddlefest, so boating was in the air. Chris' kids both love boating, and do so often with their papa. Molly started in the tandem with Chirs and 'mitri, but quickly took over Johana's kayak, claiming it for her own. She wanted nothing to do with staying near shore, and wanted to figure out how paddling worked. As I find myself saying quite often lately- who am I to stand in her way? So off she goes!
Our first camping trip of the season was over Memorial Day weekend, down in Buena Vista. The first trip of the year always has some kinks to iron out, but all and all, it was a GREAT weekend. We were joined by our buddy Chris and his two darling boys, and our dear friend Jamie. The girls did fantastic napping and sleeping in the tent, and it felt amazing to sleep with the stars twinkling over our heads, and fresh air tickling our noses. We all can't wait to do it again soon!
Seems to me that I have similar photos of molly at this age! The horse still remains a favorite at our house! Maya can get off of it all on her own, but needs help getting on. She is VERY vocal of what she wants...mostly in her demanding little grunts! but it seems to work! She has added a plethora of signs to her vocabulary, and has many true words- mama, papa, mana (hermana) nana, kitty, dog, duck, bear, ball, hat....the list goes on!!!!! She is growing up SO darn fast!
When papa asked molly what she wanted for her third bday, without skipping a beat she replied...Bunk beds! So, instead of buying something, in true papa style, Brett designed and built these beauties! They are amazing, and hell-for-stout, as he likes to call them. Beautiful pine beetle wood, and just as beautiful as can be! For right now, molly sleeps on the bottom, and just plays on the top when we are all around. There will come a time however that both girls will enjoy them!
